Myles Travitz Gives Steve James’ “Renaissance” a Narrative Experience

17 year old producer Steve James made his true arrival on the electronic dance scene with his debut original, “Renaissance,” which is still making waves on all platforms. To celebrate the successful release, Ultra Music and #TeamJames have tapped Myles Travitz to give a remix a go. By way of delicate vocal effects alongside a unique arrangement featuring three different drops, each of which  develops off it’s preceder – there is no doubt that this remix is Myles’ most complete work yet. Myles describes the remix as a musical narrative that manages to grow and evolve throughout.

Listen below, and grab the remix on any platform!

Puppet & Cormak – Enough Is Enough (feat. Richard Caddock)

This kinda sounds like alt-punk goes electronic and kinda like it. Vocalist Richard Caddock adds a kinda angsty rock lyrics to very gritty production by Puppet & Cormak. I’ve been very impressed with Monstercat releases lately: a hugely eclectic mix of genres from across the globe that make the future of dance music uncertain….just the way it should be.

Summer Was Fun – Pick Up The Phone

When this song first popped up on SC, I really couldn’t tell the difference between the artist and the title. But damn, whatever Summer he named himself after must have been hella fun. The vocals are pretty rudimentary….nothing to write home about; but what’s really special is the wide array of sounds and synths he employs. Started slow but definitely builds into a layered masterpiece.

Causes – To The River (The Him Remix)

They’re back! Who’s back? Him. Who? Not just any him…..THE Him. I used to always say “there’s something in that Swedish water” back when masterful Swedish producers were popping out of nowhere, but now I’m sensing that this hypothetical river has continued into Holland now. Hailing from Amsterdam, these guys are no strangers to KFT, giving us blissful remix after remix. Instead of undertaking one of the radio’s claimed hits like “I Can’t Feel My Face” or “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt,” the duo sets Causes in its sights–a talented indie group that is also on the rise. The result: Nikky seal of approval.

Win & Woo Return with San Fermin Remix of “Emily”

Win & Woo continue to drown us in beautiful organic sounds – as this time they take on yet another ingenious vocal, San Fermin’s “Emily.” The duo has done a fantastic job accomplishing something that takes many artists years to achieve – defining a unique sound that they can twist and turn yet mold into something that speaks volumes. Guitar and drum take center stage in this remix, and it’s available as a free download below!
