Snakehips – All My Friends (Hibell Remix)

Just incredible. Hibell who’s been around the Souncloud homepage for weeks now, puts out his best remix to date, no questions asked. First of all, the song choice is unexpected yet rewarding. MAG dropped the original on me a couple of months ago and being a huge Chance The Rapper fan, I was hooked. Hibell amends it by putting a melodic piano house spin and upping the bpm just a tad. The deep house borderline progressive house is very Halogen-esque. An easy addition to the #kft3.

It’s been a week for Chance. His collab with Snakehips and Tinashe was just released this week, he just released this new track along with announcing a third mixtape! Oh yeah, he just became a father, too. The song debuted on iTunes (for free) right as he performed it live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Fans of his older stuff and newer stuff will be pleased with “Angels,” as it sounds like a combination of elements from all of his projects. We dare you to listen to this song without smiling. It’s impossible.

Chance and Tinashe team up over some Snakehips production for their second collaboration, “All My Friends.” The song has a really interesting sound, and we’re not mad at it. It actually feels like a collaborative effort. As opposed to emailing a verse or hook in from the otherside of the country, this crew seems to have actually sat down and curated this sound together. KFT Presents: Summer Soundtrack 2015

Although summer doesn’t officially begin until June 21st, I’m not really one to follow the rules so we’re gonna cheat a little. Here at KFT we pride ourselves on the ability to make quality playlists regardless of the occasion or genre. Last year’s summer collection was definitely top notch but this one may be the best compilation we’ve ever put together…like EVER. With the rapid rise of tropical and deep house this past year, good vibes have been flowing out of our speakers like the Nile after a rainy day.

This year’s soundtrack features names from some of our favorites such as the Rooftop Boys, Lost Kings, Halogen, Sam Feldt, and Boehm, as well as some newcomers namely Henry Land, Didrick, Atlas, and Crankdat. What more can you ask for this summer besides a full beach of sand, a cooler of Coronas, a giant rubber ducky floaty, and  4+ hours of feel good music. This is how we summer.

Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment – Surf (Free Album)

I’ve only recently just heard of Chance the Rapper’s side project “The Social Experiment” but for whatever force drove me to stumble upon it I am #blessed. A full live jam-band ish group, The Social Experiment adds a pure musical element to the verses of Chance, Donnie Trumpet, and many other surprise features on the album such as Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, B.o.B, J.Cole, and more! This whole FREE compilation boasts many worthwhile tracks, notably “Sunday Candy” my personal favorite off the album. With an uppity and energetic beat, this will turn a rainy Sunday around in a heartbeat.
